Manali Al Irfan is a boarding school located in Lembata Island in East Nusa Tenggara. East Nusa Tenggara is known as one of the poorest areas in Indonesia, with low levels of nutrition, education, and economic security. Lembata Island is very difficult to access and has a poor infrastructure.
The students at the school are children of local fisherman who earn very little. Most of the students staying at Manali Al Irfan were sent there due to their homes being too small for them to stay in, and because their parents were unable to provide for them.
There are 62 students currently staying at the school. As well as receiving full time education, each child benefits from having 3 regular cooked meals a day.
Charity Right is looking to fund and supply a water tank providing the children with access to clean drinking water
