Tahmina is the eldest of five siblings. Her parents struggled on a daily basic to provide food to all the children, and often sacrificed their own food and nutrition. At just 8 years old, Tahmina began working as a house maid to earn money for food. The work was difficult for her to endure, but it was her only way to evade hunger.
For the past year Charity Right has provided Tahmina with regular meals, every day. With the fear of hunger gone Tahmina was able to leave her job as a house maid and attend one of our afternoon schools in Banglamotor, Dhaka.
Tahmina’s favourite subject is science, and she dreams to one day become a Doctor.
